Archmage Chronicles

NOTE: This is a alpha release for a game jam! Not a finished product.

A TTRPG where you play as a council of Archmages. Magic works by the Knowing of True Words. The language that created reality as we know it. While most of this knowledge has been lost there is still the odd hedge wizard who knows the word for "gather" and brings in the village's sheep come winter.

Rarer are those that know more than three or four of these words. These Mages are steeped in knowing but even they pale to the true loremasters, the council of Archmages who know more than 10 of these words, who can truly reshape reality.

That power, though, is tested when they are ambushed during their annual council by the Arch-Lich Raist. Trapped and then imprisoned in a magic cell they must use their powers to escape and destroy their nemesis.
